How to Style your wedding venue (and where to start)- blog post 1

Congratulations on your wedding! So you’ve chosen your dream venue (or not) now it’s time to #sprinklesomesparkle and decide on the decorations and styling of your wedding venue. Overwhelmed? Not sure where to start? Let us offer you, the happy wedding couple, some friendly advice! Think about your wedding venue, why did you choose it? Was it for the look and feel of it or was it because it was a blank canvas you could transform into your vision that you’ve always dreamed of?

If you chose it for the look and feel then you will want to work with it. You may only need a few extra decorative touches to make it reflect you as a couple, for example are the chairs nice? Do they need completely covering  or maybe just a sash? Maybe they don’t need anything at all? Are there any features that you really don’t like, that you would rather be hidden on the day? This can be achieved in lots of different decorative ways, for example, a strategically placed blossom tree or candelabra.

Maybe you chose a wedding venue that is a blank canvas so you create your own look and feel. In which case the sky is the limit and you can throw everything at it. Draping is a great way to transform any space into your dream space. Whether that be a full room, a glamorous entrance way, a small section or just covering the old curtains that don’t match your colour scheme. The options are endless when it comes to draping, we can even make large rooms feel more cosier and more intimate or cover areas you would rather people didn’t see.

Ultimately the decision is yours to make. Don’t be afraid to make your day your way. Here at The Sparkle Shed we are always happy to have a completely free, no obligation meeting at your wedding venue or on the phone to offer friendly, professional advice and guidance on your wedding decor – we cover the Home Counties but can travel further afield on request.
